Do you offer AARP rates?"
"I regret that I do not."
"You should offer lower rates for AARP. Why don't you?"
"Because I don't discriminate against young people."
"Excuse me?"
"Everybody pays the same rate. It's called 'fair'. Mash's World Famous Hotel is fair."
"I'm 67 years old, I shouldn't have to pay full price!"
"Why not?"
"Because I just shouldn't. It's not right how you treat seniors."
"The rate you pay is irrelevant to how I treat you. But you believe what you must. Door's to your left."
"I'm never coming back."
"Sounds good to me."
I often wonder why old people expect me to discriminate against young people. When I go to hotels I ask "do you have special rates for people with brown hair?" but it hasn't worked out yet.
